Happy Homemaker Monday 6.30.2016
linking up with Sandra at Diary of a Stay At home Mom http://familycorner.blogspot.com/

Hello Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Mine was good, Yesterday we were late waking into church - don't you hate when that happens. But I'd rather be late a few minutes than not go at all. Sundays or any day are so Awesome when you go to church. I always feel so good afterwards and it carries me though the week. I definitely feel it when we miss mass.

Friday we attended the Harry Potter "party"  at our Local Barnes and Noble. It was fun to see fans all dressed up in Happy Potter costumes and all the hands including my daughters shoot up during trivia contests. We tried the drink especially for the HP book Release...Passion Potion. Pretty good.

I am feeling so sluggish this morning, got 6 hrs. of sleep but even after coffee. I feel like a zombie. This momma might need a nap today.

The Weather... It's a nice 88 degrees right now, might get up to 91 I hope not!

On my reading pile... hasn't changed just got a bit further lol

On my TV... Harry Potter, Super 8, Tim Hawkins on you tube he is so funny!

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating...
I stayed up to late playing in planners with my daughter. We had planned to go to the Saturday planners class at Michaels craft store but the time flew and we decided to try and go to next months class. Are any of you planners? If you are, you know how addicting but fun it is. Doing something creative feels so good! even if its just planning out your days, playing with washi & stickers. even better if you get to do it with someone you love : )

Looking around the house...
Feeling accomplished, house tidy, My Son is reading, My daughter is still asleep, the dogs are laying by my feet : ) I can hear the hum of the fan and birds chirping outside.

From the camera...
Our home away from home

On my prayer list...
Family & Friends prayers as usual. Prayers of Thanksgiving...God is so good to us, Ask and he shall not only give...but give abundantly!

Something that inspires or brings a smile to your face...
My new fridge! our old one died after almost 16 years. The first one we replaced it with was not in stock for a week, then it didn't fit. We had to go back and pick another then wait for it to be delivered the next day, but Thank God it all got worked out. I am so happy to be done with using a cooler.

Oh and this too. My daughter cracking me up...playing around with computer at electronics store. I told her I still think she's pretty adorable and would make a great animated character : ) for some reason the bottom right photo reminds me of the lady in that kid movie about a bird - Rio : )
Have a great week! ~ Row.

Weekend with Fam Bam!

Our Weekend

Hello! How was your weekend? Mine was great. Since it was our somewhat official first weekend of break, because hubby had a rare Friday off,  and so did Bella. She is going to summer school and get this she signed up for it! she is our little overachiever. I cant complain because she is getting some college courses taken care of early. and her hard work ethic makes me so proud.

Every year we try to take advantage of the free summer concerts, in above photo we are chilling at our first event Alfresco Fridays watching Route 66 play Retro Music. I was excited thinking retro meant all 80s music but it was more 50's and such loved that they played some Beatles! They also played Tears for Fears but knowing my hubby is not a big fan of dancing especially in the very hot heat in front of a huge crowd, I looked to my daughter who said  "I am NOT dancing Mom" before I even asked lol
This from a girl who used to always drag me out as soon as she heard music! I guess the teenage years are kicking in late- she's almost an adult...and yes that is an adult beverage in my hand - if you know me you know I don't like beer but it was hot and I actually enjoyed it. I had better for what they were charging: knowing how hot it would be and also not allowing drinks in this was as my late Father In Law would call it...A Clip Joint!

After the show we walked over to the Newly Re-Constructed San Jacinto Plaza Where they also had bands playing music, It was getting late but we wanted to check it out and take some photos, cant wait to go back with my real camera and get some in the daytime.

She wont dance with her mama during the daytime outdoor concert but this girl will take pictures like nobody's business and don't even get me started on the selfies : )

I liked this building I couldn't help wonder why only two little lights on?

Parking garage view. Those purple lights are the freeway. I remember when my husbands God Daughter visited she said "What are they trying to make it cool now?" lol I always think of her as we pass.
I Love that they light it up with an American Flag. I was waiting for it to go all Purple for Prince but I guess lights on the freeway are as cool as we get.

Daughters last family Selfie as you can tell our children both look just like my hubby.
his friend says your poor wife all she did was birth them.
I hope you had a great weekend, Thanks for stopping by.
