Happy Homemaker Monday 4.17.2017

Happy Homemaker Monday 4.17.2017

Good morning. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! We had family over. We had a great time laughing, talking, eating, laughing and eating, talking and eating lol  I see a theme. I was so busy eating spending time with family, I didn't take any photos but my daughter got one of the colored eggs. I get so mad at myself when I forget to pick up the camera because usually I am so good at it. so now I don't have any of my kids dressed up, we came home from church and got right to work : (  but I have the memories in my heart. Oh Do you ever sing a song/hymn from church all week. Well I was SO happy they sang Down To The River To Pray Oh I LOVE it especially by Alison Krauss.

p.s.. hubby later smiled and said I heard you singing hee hee because I usually don't sing while walking up to receive communion but I couldn't help myself. besides God doesn't care that I cant carry a tune I imagine to his ears we all sound like angels when we are singing to him at least I hope we do.

On to HHM! linking up with Sandra at Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom http://familycorner.blogspot.com/2017/04/happy-homemaker-monday-04172017.html

The weather... 64 degrees and lovely

On my reading pile...
Bible: Esther and as always Proverbs and Psalms of the day.
Book: Excited to start this not only because I have had it on my books to buy list for a long time but because my daughter knew this, bought it for me and is also reading it...that touched me and I will treasure it forever.

Movies or shows I watched...Oh My Lord, this show! Had me UGLY crying, the kind where you cant catch your breath. heartbreaking and HARD to watch It stayed with me.

On my T.V.... The Voice

On the menu...
Mon. - Leftovers duh :)
Tue.- Tacos
Wed.- 8 can soup
Thurs.- Mexican Lasagna in my P.C. Deep covered baker
Fri.- Pizza! I missed our Friday night Pizza & Movie fam. nights

On my to do list...
Make calls- BLAH...I don't know about you but I am not a phone person. I can talk to customers on the phone in a work situation, I can talk to my family and a handful of friends for a long time but other than that I do not like to be on the phone.

What I am creating... I am loving my Annie Plans Pintables
https://www.etsy.com/shop/AnniePlansPrintables?ref=shop_sugg

Happening this week...
Appointments...Optometrist, Dentist, etc.

Looking around the house...
remnants of the get together, but not to bad.

From the camera...

What I am wearing today... Jeans and a mauve "girly blouse"
You know one of those tops that makes you feel feminine- that's what I call a pretty soft colored top that flows in the breeze. Sometimes I wish I could dress like Elizabeth Bennet but then I would have to have that shape and well I'll be honest;
Momma Like Food!  nuff said! lol

One of my simple pleasures... Losing count of how many times I've watched a movie like Pride & Prejudice

Bible verse or devotional...
"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for Adversity"
-Proverbs 18:17

  1. Love Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, but my all-time favorite is Persuasion. Be still my heart when Captain Wentworth finally bears his soul in that letter! Have a great week.

    1. Hi Jean, We did, Easter went to fast. 13 reasons is a very heavy film. but for me as a mom of two teenagers who Thank God are very Happy and Have a family who Love and Support them, Some teens do not and this film was one of those reminders to be aware of those subjects like Bullying and Suicide, so hard to watch but necessary. I tell ya...I got though it but I will not watch it again. And about the leftovers I cant stop munching! I hope your having better luck lol Have a great day!

  5. It's always such a pleasure reading your post each week. The book "Uninvited" looks like one that would resonate with me. I'll be interested in reading what you think of it. I've never heard of 8 Can Soup. Sounds like something that would be good to make after a busy day. Your Easter eggs turned out beautiful - such vivid colors! Hope you have a great week!

    1. Sandra!!!! So happy you stopped by! I will let you know what I think. I guess the word is going around on 13 reasons- it's so real. People need to know that what they say and how they treat others especially teens does matter. What do you think so far?
