Breakfast - what is on the plate this morning...  Cereal, A Croissant & of course Coffee.

 

Right now I am... Just finished fellowship on periscope. I am now sitting at kitchen desk typing this out while  listening to my friend Jen's Christmas Playlist on spotify

I love Christmas music! I'm one of those people who listen to it all year...calm down...Not constantly just as the moment strikes.  lol

 

Weather... Mostly Sunny 73/47

 

Looking around the house... Boy I am so behind on my Christmas decorating but its happening little by little.

 

On todays to do list...

•  Dishes
• make beds
• Laundry- started.
• make -arroz con pollo & Chicken pasta Salad with defrosted chicken since were going to G's for dinner tonight.
• Dust/Windex
• Sweep/Vacuum
• Restrooms-Swish & Swipe
• fluff tree
• Add Christmas lights to our tree - we have a pre lit tree but some lights have burnt out (bummer)
• Menu Plan & Grocery shop - I've been so bad at my meal planning- happens every year at this time. We try to eat before we head out shopping but usually stay out to late and make pit stops... this past couple of weeks alone included:  chic fi la,  Panda Express which was free from T-Mobile Tuesdays so we Had to right? hee hee  Mc Donald's, and last night KFC and I really don't like eating out. ok maybe at chic fi la and Cracker Barrel oh and Mexican oh who am I kidding... I get cravings! to quote Kevin from Home Alone " WE ALL DO!"

Currently reading... I've got to make time to start my Christmas books. I haven't brought them in yet... We have a very small home with no storage other than our garage so I try to store everything in totes and I am a bit embarrassed to say I have more than one tote full of Christmas books, our favorite ones from when my kiddos were small, cook books, and magazines. and that's after condensing them down. What I wouldn't  give for an attic and basement.

and of course You Tube...I wanted to share a you tube channel with you all. If you like Home tours check this channel out I LOVE ALL her tours but her Christmas one especially because she shows such cute crafts. I plan on attempting to make the gingerbread homes in the video this year....

The  channel is Whitney Lee and if you just want to see the gingerbread houses it starts at 10:10 but trust me you will want to see her whole house. (your welcome)

this mommas jumping for joy! I don't feel complete without my whole family together and even then pieces are missing = My family in California and that piece that will never return My momma. But I will see her again!

Goodbye Fall

Goodbye Fall, you will be missed.

I Love fall! My fall starts Aug first and lasts until the day after Thanksgiving. I don't care if the weather here in Texas is close to 100 degrees and sometimes over. Heck today is the 2nd day in December and it's 72 degrees outside, but inside my home it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

I am behind in my decorating due to a silly injury. This past Wednesday my hubby forgot his cell phone and came back home for it shortly after leaving. I didn't want him to be late so I ran it out to the car as fast as I could, now even though that speed might look like hurtle the turtle it's fast to me as I don't run much anymore.  I use to LOVE to run. any-who on my way back in I somehow pulled a muscle in my calf. I could tolerate the pain but couldn't walk, so I took some ibuprofen and called it a (lazy) day. Thankfully hubby was on Thanksgiving vacation the week before and we got a lot done around the house so I could take it easy. We even painted our Kitchen I have had it Red for years after I fell in love with Kim's kitchen over at The Blog Dear Daisy Cottage. But finally grew tired of it, I choose a color a bit darker than our living room which is sort of a burlap color. I forgot to take before and after photos  but I have one of décor on top of my hutch. What do you think of color.

Now I don't know if I wanted to laugh or cry but I was just feeling back to normal a few days later when the door bell rang and BAM I somehow pulled that same muscle rushing to door. So here I am walking like I'm an old lady- wait a minute?...yeah yeah I know lol

I hope you all had a Very Blessed Thanksgiving. We did. One of the highlights was  :::drumroll:::

Our College Girl was home!

Bella Flew in at Midnight the day before Thanksgiving.

She had a couple Happy coincidence's One was a friend from her Bible group was flying home on same flight And one of her friends since Elementary School ended up on same flight coming from West Point. I worked with his Momma at same elementary school and was also happy for us to get to catch up as well as our kiddos. Such A Happy Coincidence! : )

I've heard of College Kids coming home with loads of laundry, well not my girl.

She came home or rather gave me a list before hand.

 it went like this...

"I can't wait to eat real Mexican food!"

Rice & Beans.

That's my girl! and she got them all too.

Grandma even made her Pozole and brought it over for her Birthday Dinner. The time flew but we enjoyed every second of it.

I cant forget her chocolate chip cookies- My daughter has taken to calling me Momma Cookie lol

So I made sure to send her back with a couple dozen. I got up at 3am because she had a very early flight on her actual Birthday but was ok with it because she had celebrated with us the day before and a group of her friends from bible study were waiting to take her out and celebrate again. I am so Blessed she met an amazing group of friends.

We also Celebrated our baby boy's Birthday on the 10th of November He turned 15....15!

Bittersweet.

 P.S. does anyone else like to decorate their kids doors for birthdays. I do it every year, it never gets old for me - I am such a dork these things make me happy and I'm always giggling to myself the whole time while trying not to wake them lol.

My son is NOT a fan of taking photos but I managed to beg one out of him at the Farmers Market, can't you tell how thrilled he is lol

 I wanted to share a photo of me and my sister in love. Do you remember the photo from my God Sons Mickey Birthday Party of my Mother In Love with Minnie? Well She's not the only Kid at Heart...

We giggled the whole time.

Happy Homemaker Monday 11.6.2017


Good Morning. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We had a busy but fun one. Hubby was off on Friday so we had a morning coffee date at Mc Donald's : ) I guess were getting old but I Love people watching. I always see older people meeting up for breakfast or older lovebirds sitting close together chatting. Then we picked up my MIL, did some shopping and had lunch together. Saturday we had a cousins Birthday party-Michael went alone I had what I guess was my first ever sinus infection-Painful. and Sunday we had a parent meeting at our church while Adam was in his religious Formation class, then we celebrated mass and then headed over to Michaels Aunts birthday party (My MIL's sister) My hubby has a big family and its always so nice to see everyone. This was the first family party without Bella and every time someone asked about her college life I felt a tug on my heart. I'm sure it gets easier.

The weather outside... It's a chilly 63 degrees our high today will be 81 - I am waiting for the cooler days I am ready for some soup weather.


Looking around the house... I managed to get all the Halloween décor put away but I am not quite ready for Christmas, I need to get the rest of my Thanksgiving items out. This year I wont be putting
(trying hard not to) up Christmas till after Thanksgiving because my Doll comes home for Thanksgiving break! Yay! plus Adams birthday is on the 10th and Isabella's is on the 26th. I don't like them to feel like its Dec. just yet.

Bake! not quite cool enough but...

Adams 15th Birthday. He just wants to have a small family get together here at our home- my favorite kind. He will go out for pizza and a movie with friends another time, He says nothing good out right now lol My son Loves to go to the movies on the first day it is out, He collects (small promo) movie posters and that is the only day they give them out.

Celebrating our God Son's second birthday with Mickey and Minnie. BTW I got out voted on wearing matching painted tees like last year...boy do I miss bella lol 

We were lucky enough to have been invited along for trick or treating on Halloween. I miss this so much with my children but now I get to do it all over again with our Godson.

Prayers for all the victims of these crazy times. I never thought I'd see a day a person would shoot up a church or drive into crowds of innocent people for no reason absolute evil and chaos.

Me and my son had started reading some of our old favorite

Books and I am still reading them.  They are special because We have read them over and over, and my son got to meet the author when he visited his elementary school library. Maybe you have heard of him...Joe Hayes

all these years reading these books and we just noticed the same photo er lady in both books. see her laughing. she's the wife in one book and a waitress in another.

Watching...

I have been binge Watching Heartland, I was up late last night balling like a baby, I have fallen in Love with the characters. Especially the Grandpa-He reminds me of my Dad. He's Not a Cowboy but like The Grandpa he is a no nonsense kind of man who knows what he likes, is a creature of habit, says what he thinks and doesn't want to impress anyone or care what anyone thinks. John Wayne is his hero and if you know John Wayne you get the idea.

Weather... its a cool 67 degrees and I'm loving it.


Right now I am... Just sent my son off to school, enjoying my second cup of coffee and the rest of my egg and bacon sandwich.
enjoying the scent from one of my favorite candles: Fall Leaves from Walmart.


Thinking... About what a nice weekend me and Adam had at home. We ordered pizza, watched movies, Netflix, played games -he beat me at battleship! little stinker! Read together, Laughed a lot! Our Sunday at church together. I smile thinking how he never forgets to pray at meal times or reminds us to bless ourselves whenever we pass a church. I love that! He is My Sunshine! and about my daughter in Arizona. My hubby and family are there visiting for the Cowboy game. Me and Adam stayed home so he would not miss school. its times like these I wish he was homeschooled. I love this photo my Hubby sent me of Bella and G at the mall Look at that smile she is one happy girl...Yes she is getting SO Spoiled by her Grandma, Auntie, Uncle and Daddy. plus her Godfather is on his way there today but he has one thing on his mind...Go Cowboys lol

On my reading pile... My Bible, Bible App devotions and plans-Do you have this app? I've had it for years now and I never tire of the daily devotions and plans, they always have something new.
My hubby and Children also have it on they're phones, it's nice to be able to discuss the days readings. I'm waiting for my next book to review and am trying not to pick up anything else to read. but find myself thinking about starting my Little House on the Prairie series. I re-read every year around this time.


On my T.V.... Trying to finish up Last Man Standing before the end of the month -when it leaves Netflix-boo. but excited to start our Halloween movies come Oct. 1

This is the first year without Bella, but she will watch along in her dorm when she can. Also I am planning on picking up my crochet needles today. :::fingers crossed::: P.S. How cute are these stickers from Fabulously Planned? I'm addicted.

Looking Around the House... Peaceful The dogs are near me sleeping and I can hear a light breeze outside my kitchen door.

So many years later and  I still feel heartache, shock and disbelief. I don't think that will ever change.

If I allow myself I will think on this I will fall into a deep angry rut, So I say my prayers and tuck it back into my heart, which goes out to all those who lost loved ones.

The Weather... Not chilly enough for me-come on fall! FALL!

Right now I am... sipping my coffee trying to type this out and I hear my dog yapping away at the neighbor ::eye roll::

It baffles me how my dog can see our neighbor everyday, numerous times, and still bark at him. Ok Who talks to their pets? I mean really talk. I have full conversations-and ask questions like-"Tinkerbell! why do you bark at neighbor? You see him everyday! you know neighbor! don't be so mean. What did neighbor do to you? hum??? he is always so nice to you and you just bark-that's rude Tinkerbell. now be nice. and you know she sits looking up at me the whole time and I half expect some answers. and when I'm done YUP she runs off barking at the neighbor  which by the way is not his name but what he call him because he always says "Hey neighbor!"

On my reading pile...  Ya know its there but I haven't touched it much.

Movies or shows I watched this weekend/On my T.V....

I have been under the weather with a head cold so not being able to sleep, I watched way more Netflix than usual. This is what I have been checking out. - I actual spend too much time flipping though looking for something interesting, think about switching over to hulu or hallmark-or is it pureflex? but I don't.

our family has been watching Last Man Standing almost every night. so funny.

and I have been switching around from...

Heartland which I love. but the boys not so much.

I S-L-O-W-L-Y watch The Walking Dead Im not really into zombies but I catch myself wanting to know what happens next. I think its been a year and im still on first season lol

I just discovered this last night Bloodline I didn't think Id like it but checked it out because I like...

any who I binge watched it and cant wait to see what happens.

it is actually (for me) hard to understand what's going on but again, I want to see what happens next. or actually what happened in past. a little confusing but getting good.
